In 2022, I had the great honor of receiving the Jerusalem International Award for Talent and Innovation in the category of Best Feature Film Screenplay for my script “Matar Ayloul”, which served as the first draft of my novel later published under the title “A Shadow in Ayloul’s Storm.”

This achievement was more than a personal milestone—it was a turning point in my literary and cinematic journey, and a testament to my belief that when writing touches the human soul, it can cross borders and reach international recognition.

 About the Award

The Jerusalem International Award for Talent and Innovation is a prestigious Arab cultural platform that honors creative works reflecting themes of identity, belonging, and artistic innovation.

I wrote this script from a place of deep existential questions that arise during moments of crisis and transformation.

The screenplay uses strong visual storytelling and a psychologically rich atmosphere. The storm are not just weather element, but symbolic layers representing inner tension and emotional struggle.

Through this work, I sought to build a cinematic experience driven by human conflict, layered dialogue, and subtle emotional cues—where much is felt without being spoken.

 In Conclusion

Winning this award for was not the end, but a new beginning—a door opening to bigger dreams.

I now carry the hope that this screenplay will one day become a cinematic work that resonates with a wider audience.

This moment confirmed my conviction that Arab creativity can compete and shine globally when it is written from the heart, crafted with intellect, and presented with authenticity.
